Homeopathy
Bach flower therapy
Originally from Ireland my homeopathic practice is now based in Nova Scotia, Canada where I live with my family. I began my career as a social care worker which predominantly involved working with children and teenagers with behavioral challenges and learning difficulties. I later pursued my studies in homeopathy, I received my licentiate to practice from the accredited Irish School of Homeopathy after four years of training. Following this I completed a post graduate in homeopathic therapeutics. Working out of Ireland’s only homeopathic dispensary I gained over 6 years experience of prescribing for acute illnesses. This was combined with constitutional homeopathic prescribing from my busy private practice.
My first contact with homeopathy came about in India. I immediately resonated with the holistic nature of this medical system. Rather than predominantly treating the physical symptoms of an illness, homeopathy searches to uncover the mental, emotional and physical root causes of an illness.
I qualified as a Bach flower therapist after completing my training through the Bach Centre in the UK. The flower remedies are essences that aim to address our everyday negative emotional states. Dr. Edward Bach described the healing quality of the flower essences “They are able, like beautiful music, or any gloriously uplifting thing which gives us inspiration, to raise our very natures, and bring us nearer to our Souls: and by that very act bring us peace and relieve our sufferings”
Often patients inspire me through their willingness to share their stories in order to heal. I feel honored and privileged to work with people in this way.
